Security systems can be simple or complex. Not always do you need to spend a large amount of time and money on security. The industry manufacturers are always finding solutions to push the limits of today’s technology for tomorrow’s world.

At Securcom, we understand most people have a common knowledge about camera systems and alarm systems. We help you design a system that will be both efficient and economical.

Once the system is in place, not only will we make sure you’re comfortable with operating it, we will help you plan for maintaining your security investment to work properly and efficiently for years to come

Security Installation

Our team of qualified technicians have taken advanced training on our products so that we keep ahead. Certain credentials are common to have for a security company, but as the industry advances it’s important to stay informed.Supplier and manufacturer training is continuously available both in-class and online.

Building a knowledge base for proper and efficient installation processes is important to retain consistent quality. It’s not always as simple as running a wire from A to B. Most times there are important choices an installer has to make to be both affective and quality efficient.

We take great pride in our workmanship to achieve performance and create a successful partnership with our clients around Lethbridge and Southern Alberta.

Past & Present

In the summer of 2007, a fully operational locally known security company by the name of SMART Security Solutions was acquired by Securcom Technologies Inc. and has been serving Southern Alberta since.

Securcom has been involved with local charities, local campaigns and supports some of its own customers, like the YMCA and the Boys and Girls Club. Securcom continuously finds other sources and means to be a leader in the community.

Products & Services

Perimeter Protection System

As the name suggests, concentrate on protecting the perimeter of your property. Generally speaking, camera’s and detection devices are fitted to the building’s exterior, doors and windows that activate the alarm. Some premises might even have external detectors such as photo beams.

Monitored System

Uses various forms of communication devices (such as Digital Communicators or GSMCellular Devices) to notify a manned alarm receiving station. They are the human aspect of the whole system, notifying users/customers of false alarms, real alarms, troubles on the system.

Access Control Systems

To put it simply, an access control system uses electronic locking devices to control specific doors. These locks can then be either manually released once the person’s identification has been established, or automatically released once a code is entered.

Internally Protected System

These systems use various types of motion detectors that monitor movement within their area. This is the most common form of system fitted due to the fact that a single motion detector can cover a large area, possibly with multiple entry points.

Fire & Flood

Our alarm systems can also accommodate fire and flood detectors linked to them. If you are considering investing in an Intrusion Alarm System, then seriously think about spending a small amount more to have the system help protect lives as well as your property and assets.

Do Your Part to Stay Protected

You need to ensure you’ve done your part in securing your premise. Making sure manual locks work properly, doors and windows are secure, motion detectors and cameras aren’t blocked by materials or furniture, the system is checked and tested periodically.

"BellsOnly" System

Contains some form of siren either intended to alert neighbouring properties of the intruder with external bells and/or to make it physically unpleasant for the intruder to remain with high-powered internal sounders. The sight of a bell box will deter the majority of burglars.

Camera Systems

Resolution, Lens Value, F-Stop, Lux, AC or DC, Low-voltage, BLC, Gain Control, and the jargon list goes on and on… These are some–but not all of the features of a standard CCTV camera and lens we need to consider when designing a surveillance system.
